DeSalvo
Pretty nice set up
10th Anniversary....very limited
A customer and friend of the shop came in with his custom DeSalvo 10th Anniversary edition bike. This was limited production and had a beautiful paint job with very nice tubing and welds. The downtube was diamond shaped and turned into a square down by the bottom bracket. Check out more of these beautiful bikes and a very cool builder at DeSalvo Cycles.

Frostbike
Frostbike booths
Drinking afterhours with the Surly guys
Yearly tradition of Pizza Luce with good friends
Pugsley race on the frozen pond
My favorite picture of all time
As February approaches...so does Frostbike. This event is put on by Quality Bicycle Products up in Bloomington, MN. For the past four years I have traveled to this event and had such a great time. The weekend is full of looking at this years new bicycle products, going to seminars, and bonding with co-workers and friends. I hope that this year I am fortunate enough to make it to frostbike with my new shop Wheelfast and hopefully travel or meet up with my NCC buds.

New Shop
Work benches
Sales floor
Command Center
Wheel Fast Bicycle Co. of Chatham, IL has hired me as their new main mechanic. I am excited to work with the staff and new customer base. The owner Matt Saner has started and owned Wheel Fast for 11 years. The shop is very clean, relies on excellent mechanic work and customer service, and is located in an up and coming, growing community. Everyone seems extremely friendly and I am excited to get to know and ride with a lot of new faces.

Style & Design
Lately I have been seriously looking into the frame building idea and how much money it is going to take. Looks pretty expensive and very involved. Hopefully I can save some money up and put my dream into motion in the next year or two. I have been looking at a lot of classic builders for ideas and designs and have just been drooling over some Rene Herse bicycles. Especially the early porteur bikes. Such a simple design yet so stylish and elegant. Check some of them out....

New Blog
Well this is my first time ever having a blog so we will see how this goes. The primary reason for starting this blog is to stay in touch with many of my friends in DeKalb, Chicago, and Colorado who I used to ride with. I aim to have another great year of cycling and share many of my rides and adventures with you from my new hometown of Springfield, IL....YEEHAW
