Barrington Hills Ride
Cruising out to Barrington Hills
Bob on a most excellent road
Donlea road...used to be a road, now its a forest preserve
Balls on the Gunnar
Bob downhilling it
Fox river in Algonquin
Smoothie time, local coffee shop in Barrington
Got out on a great ride and explored a new area with the boss. We cruised to algonquin and then to Barrington Hills. I felt like we got picked up and dropped in a pile of millionaires. This place was beautiful with some great roads and houses. The weather was mid 60's and just a perfect ride. We hit some dirt and gravel and were out on the real deal bikes: the gunnar and Bob's custom seven Axiom SL. Hit 70 miles for the day and the legs felt perfect as did the rest of the body with my new Zipp Service Course SS handlebar and Thomson stem. I put this on the bike to test it out and it felt great so far. Finally feeling somewhat dialed on the bike for Trans Iowa. Get ready its only a month away!

Riding
The real cookie?
Very cool riding through Bull Valley
The fat tires are still rolling
Cool print I saw on a barn....seems every barn in Bull Valley has one of these. One day Im going to photograph them all and post them.
This looked interesting....
The miles keep on getting pounded out. Sitting about 1500 for the year so far....look to have around 2700-3000 for the near approaching Trans Iowa. Rode 50 on sunday and 50 on monday with the pugsley, 30 miles on tues, wed, and thurs, and commuted today as well to put me over 200 miles since Sunday. Will try to get around 300 miles this week with some rides planned for the weekend. Legs are feeling good and just working on the bike position now. Get out there and ride!
