Atlantic City
Well, they blew up the Chicken Man in Philly last night
And they blew up his house, too
Down on the boardwalk they're ready for a fight
Gonna see what them racket boys can do
Now there's trouble busin' in from outta state
And the D.A. can't get no relief
Gonna be a rumble on the promenade
And the gamblin' commissioner's hangin' on by the skin of his teeth
Everything dies, baby, that's a fact
But maybe everything that dies some day comes back
Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty
And meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Well, I got a job and I put my money away
But I got the kind of debts that no honest man can pay
So I drew out what I had from the Central Trust
And I bought us two tickets on that Coast City bus
Everything dies, baby, that's a fact
But maybe everything that dies some day comes back
Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty
And meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Now our luck may have died and our love may be cold
But with you forever I'll stay
We'll be goin' out where the sand turns to gold
But put your stockings on, 'cause it might get cold
Oh, everything dies, baby, that's a fact
But maybe everything that dies some day comes back
Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty
And meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Now I've been a-lookin' for a job, but it's hard to find
There's winners and there's losers and I'm south of the line
Well, I'm tired of gettin' caught out on the losin' end
But I talked to a man last night, gonna do a little favor for him
Well, everything dies, baby, that's a fact
But maybe everything that dies some day comes back
Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty
And meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Oh, meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Oh, meet me tonight in Atlantic City

Weekend Miles
Headed up around lake geneva, WI on Sunday with the bonk king, david swanson, and my co-worker ryan. It was supposed to be a warm 35 degrees and the wind picking up out of the south. We hit some awesome roads and it was Ryans first time around the lake. I am finally starting to feel a little bit dialed on the fixed cross set up that I have and am feeling smooth with the cadence. I know the gearing is about perfect and will just have to get used to the saddle and how the fixed position is. Great ride and ended the day with about 75 miles. More commuting and more long weekend rides this week. Stay at it!

Commuting/Training March 2014
I have been taking the long way to work and the long way home and racking up 30-40 mile commutes, riding nearly 6 days a week. Will continue long commutes and long rides on the weekends to help prepare. Even ran into a group of fat bikers the other morning in Veteran's Acres. Very nice that I was able to get the cross bike out today!

Blue Demon
The blue demon came out and joined me for 30 miles in Bull Valley. We climbed lots of hills and avoided lots of pot holes. He pushed me on the fat bike as he was riding his 38c cross bike. Derek is in great shape and was working the hills. We then headed to Duke's for some vegetarian food and good beers. Thanks for the ride Derek, as always it was great hanging!

Frosty Sunday
The temp said 7 degrees when I left and I'm sure with the 20mph headwind the temps were well below zero. March has arrived and we are all desperate for miles. David Swanson put in a courageous 80 mile day with several stops in between to warm up....great ride. I have been riding the pugsley without shifting just as I did last year to prepare for the long single speed ride coming up. The hills of bull valley really zap your legs....but after four consistent 20-30 mile rides back there this week...my legs still have energy left in them. Distance is a must....but if you can't get the distance in...then just stay with consistency, this is the big key for endurance training, in my opinion at least. Will be out tomorrow with the blue demon, get ahold of me if you want to join for a ride in the morning.

March 1st Commute and more snow
New employee and general nice guy Ryan
Steep roads in BV
Been hitting some good commutes on the fatty lately. Have ridden 5/7 days this week and will continue pushing into March and April for a mad dash for last minute miles. Had a really good commute through Bull Valley in some fresh snow after work today. If you haven't ridden in this area you really need to. It will destroy your legs and get you ready for the long one. Get a hold of me and we will go for a ride back here. More riding Sunday and monday. Get out there.
